    A MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR

Welcome and thanks for checking out the website of the Clackamas County Republican Party! We are active and working hard to make Clackamas County and Oregon a place where the economy thrives, citizens enjoy liberty, and all Oregonians are proud to call our state home.

We face many challenges but we also have many advantages- from deep water ports, abundant natural resources, a creative and hard working labor force, and rich traditions. We believe all of these are at their best when citizens manage them responsibly.

Join us and help make Oregon the engine of prosperity and freedom in America!

  • John Lee, Jr.

For a long time I didn’t belong to a political party. A few years ago I decided I needed to be involved so I looked around and found others who shared many of my beliefs. Although we don’t always agree on particular issues, we do agree on the principals that make our country great ~ the rule of law, respect for individuals, concern for those less fortunate, and the belief that all people deserve liberty and justice.

Those are big ideals and I’m proud to say that my fellow Clackamas County Republicans work hard to put them into practice. We are all volunteers and regular citizens just like you. We know we have to work hard to restore common sense in government at every level. But we can’t do it alone, we need you to help. Everyone can do something and the time you spend doesn’t have to be a lot but it can make a huge difference.

If you’ve ever thought about getting involved ask yourself this: If Not Now, When? If Not You, Who?

  • John Lee, Jr.

As someone who believes in freedom, liberty, and preserving my God-given rights, becoming part of the Republican Party was one of the easiest choices I’ve ever made. Republicans are principled and focused. We strive to make our country, our state, and our county a better place to live. Our goal as Republicans is not to gain notoriety or publicity, but to advance causes that help everyone, not just ourselves. Though none of us are perfect, the foundation of our party has always remained: we need a smarter, effective government where everyone is allowed to succeed. My goal has and will always be this: to plead the cause of the poor and needy. Through the Republican Party, and with fellow Republicans, I am doing and will continue to do just that.

    I’m Jake Wilkins, and I’m a Republican.
